On 12th January, 2021, on the 158th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, NGO Ashray Social Welfare and Cultural Foundation donated bed sheets and pillow covers for Vidyasagar Maternity Hospital at Narayanpur, Kolkata.
'Ashray Women's Encouragement Award’ is a new feather amongst Dr Sinha’s endeavours. On the occasion of International Women’s Day in March 2021, Ashray Social Welfare and Cultural Foundation awarded the strongest women from the society. These women have relentlessly fought against atrocities and come out as winners.
In May, 2021, when the second wave was ravaging the nation, NGO Ashray Social Welfare and Cultural Foundation donated 12 litre cans of oxygen to Covid-patients.
Dr Shantanu Sinha was also attacked by SARS-CoV-2 on April 2021. Owing to the fighter spirit within, he recovered and came out victorious. He celebrated his 39th birthday with the covid patient and healthcare staff at the hospital's covid ward.
In July 2021, Dr Shantanu Sinha organized a procession through his NGO, to protest the rise in petrol and diesel prices. An ambulance was decorated like a chariot, with Lord Jagannath, Balarama and Subhadra inside. The ambulance also had a patient. The members of Ashray, along with Dr. Shantanu pulled the ambulance with rope from Bowbazar to Calcutta Medical College.
Goal
The man is an enigma is his own right. And, he surely does not seem content with whatever he has achieved till date. He believes that he is yet to reach the zenith of success. This is just the beginning of an ambitious journey.
